it’s the little things…sweet little things

A nice morning walk in the cool crisp autumn air.
The aroma of freshly baked homemade muffins.
The sweet smell of a newborn child.
The words “I love you”.
A hot cup of coffee, which these days, with my new co-conspirator around, it seems we only meet at luke warm or even cold, after the steam has melted away into the wee morning hours.
A warm snuggle followed by a charming smile from the little man.
A child helps remind you to live simply.  That it is the little things in life that are so charming.  A reminder not to indulge in the complexities life brings but to stop and smell the roses.  Not to worry about eating off the fine china when a wonderful meal has been cooked, because you are just happy to be sitting and eating as a family (we don’t even own fine china, ha ha, but if we did).  Not to busy yourself with unnecessary rubbish so you can take pleasure in the things that truly matter.  It is the little things that make life so sweet...so worth living.
